LAIVIL T-5847 is an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetate homopolymer that is free from APEOS, used in the textile sector for water and wash resistant finishes with a stiff touch.

Applications:
The LAIVIL T-5847 resin is suitable for the formulation of all types of textile finishes, both for natural and synthetic fibres. It gives the fabric a hard coating and, to obtain a flexible coating, it is sufficient to add simply a plasticiser to the dispersion.
This product is fully soluble in both cold and hot water and once diluted in water is sufficiently stable for several hours.
Since it is a non-ionic dispersion, it is compatible with products of any ionic character.
LAIVIL T-5847 can be formulated with polyvinyl alcohol solutions, cellulosic derivatives, starches and plasticisers common in the industry.
