LAITEX NT- 5179

LAITEX NT-5179 is an aqueous dispersion of a styrene-butadiene copolymer for the manufacture of thermoformable needlepunched carpets for the automotive industry and also for coating in the nonwoven field.

Carpets or fabrics made of fibrous materials for rigid parts, manufactured with LAITEX NT-5179 and hot-formed, are characterised by their very high dimensional stability after thermoforming.

Applications:

LAITEX NT-5179 is generally applied via the one-side impregnation process.

The viscosity can be adjusted by adding either some water or thickening agents.

This emulsion can be used as a foam by air insufflation.

Fillers can be added.

LAITEX NT-5179 stands out thanks to its quick-drying properties, its high resistance to deformation and the high rigidity it imparts to carpets or impregnated fabrics.
