LAITEX N-5338 is an aqueous dispersion of a carboxylated styrene-butadiene copolymer used as a binder in the textile industry.

Applications:
LAITEX N-5338 is for the impregnation of needlepunched and tufted fabric coatings, recommended for the formulation of pre-backing compounds for tufted carpets.
It is suitable for different needlepunch bonding techniques; full bath impregnation, semi-impregnation and spray bonding.
For one-side impregnation, the dispersion is used undiluted or only diluted with very little water, and for full impregnation it should be diluted to a solids content of 20-25%.
It provides high stiffness of light articles, low writing effect on polypropylene fibres and excellent wear behaviour in LISSON and BTW checks on fibres of any kind.
