LAITEX N-5120 is a carboxylated butadiene-styrene copolymer dispersion used as a binder in the textile industry.

LAITEX N-5120 is used in particular for the impregnation of needlepunched fabrics and in general for the reinforcement of woven materials.

Applications:

LAITEX N-5120 is used especially for the coating of fibre anchor backings, for the coating and impregnation of fabrics and tissues.

It can also be used for the reinforcement of nonwoven carpets as well as a binder for nonwovens.

This emulsion can be processed on conventional coating machines, spraying and impregnation systems.

For the coating and backing of carpets (pre-backing and double backing compounds), the dispersion is usually filled with inorganic fillers.

For the reinforcement of nonwoven material by impregnation, the dispersion is usually diluted to a solids content of 20-25 %, whereas the reinforcement of nonwoven carpets by impregnation on one side is generally used undiluted and, if necessary, slightly thickened.
