Applications:
LAITEX BX-478 is a product specially developed to modify hot asphalt for road construction.
It is a polymer with high mechanical stability and excellent resistance to high temperatures.
By modifying asphalt with LAITEX BX-478 latex, we increase the softening point and improve the elastic recovery of the asphalt. According to this new technology, the addition of LAITEX BX-478 polymer takes place when approximately 1/5 of the total amount of asphalt to be modified is in the mixing tank and accompanied by a high agitation speed. At this point, all water vapour is eliminated and the generation of bubbles is prevented.
