LAITEX B-475

LAITEX B-475 is an aqueous dispersion of a styrene-butadiene copolymer for modifying anionic asphalt emulsions.

Applications:

When adding LAITEX B-475 to anionic asphalt emulsions:

  • Increases water resistance, which means better waterproofing.
  • Increases abrasion resistance and makes the asphalt slip-resistant.
  • Increases impact resistance.
  • Decreases soil loosening and increases the softening point.
  • Reduces penetration, meaning it does not soften under mechanical stress.
  • Prevents hardening at low temperatures and therefore brittleness.

Asphalt emulsions modified with the polymer LAITEX B-475 are used for the following applications:

  • Waterproofing of vertical walls, party walls, foundations, etc…
  • Waterproofing of roofs and terraces with several coats of the mixture, alone or with glass veil reinforcement.
  • High-quality asphalt paints.

RATE: The normal dosage of LAITEX B-475 latex on the asphalt emulsion is between 4 and 12%.
