LAICRIL C-5421 is a water-based acrylic-styrenated dispersion suitable for the construction sector, especially indicated for the consolidation of floors.

Total solids: 50% ± 1 -Method I-10-31

Applications:

LAICRIL C-5421 is a water-based styrene-acrylic copolymer featuring a fine particle size and high anchorage, with excellent balance between film elasticity, cohesion and toughness.

It has low water absorption and practically no water whitening.

It is a high-strength acrylic emulsion designed for application on dirt roads and unpaved surfaces.

It acts as a suppressant of dust generated on roads or quarries, for example, by wind or vehicular traffic, and what is more, it improves the cohesion between the particles (aggregates, in general) of the soil on the surface and at depth, thus reducing the disintegration of the substrate caused by light traffic.

LAICRIL C-5421, when used as a binding agent for soils and dirt roads with the appropriate machinery, can be used through these two most common procedures:

  • Mixing of soil and/or aggregate with emulsion and subsequent compaction.
  • Surface application of a solution of emulsion and water, applied by spraying. Allow to penetrate into the soil and then compact.

After this compaction process, this emulsion can be applied by spraying or atomisation as a protective surface coating to increase the resistance of the whole system to water and light traffic.

The dilution up to a suitable viscosity according to the type of application is at the customer’s discretion.
