LAICON NT-5474 is a thickened and foamed aqueous dispersion compound based on a styrene-butadiene latex that is intended for the manufacture of thermoformable needlepunched carpets for the automotive industry and also for coating in the field of nonwovens.

Hot-formed carpets or fabrics of fibrous materials for rigid parts made of LAICON NT-5474 are characterised by their very high dimensional stability and high resistance to deformation.
It is applied via the one-side impregnation process in more open meshes than with LAICON NT-5471 and can be applied as foam by means of an industrial in-line foaming machine.
The working temperature of the oven is usually 125-145°C.
The difference with Laicon NT-5446 is that it has a higher loading ratio and lower viscosity.
