LAICON CF-6647 is a compound based on a high-solids styrene-butadiene copolymer and natural latex, formulated with mineral fillers and other additives.

Applications:
LAICON CF-6647 is used in the textile industry for the manufacture of vulcanized foams for tufted carpet backing. It has been specifically developed for medium-quality gel foam production, offering excellent mechanical properties and water resistance.
It can be used in various foam applications, as the foam backing can be embossed or roll-pressed.
The system is supplied in three separate components: Part A, based on a styrene-butadiene latex with mineral fillers and other additives; Part B, the vulcanizing agent; and Part C, a gelling agent.
The recommended formulation is as follows:
LAICON CF-6647/A: 100.0 g + LAICON CF-6647/B (vulcanizing agent): 5.3 g + LAIGEL 6602 (gelling agent, Part C): 4.3 g
Procedure: After mixing Parts A and B, the product is foamed to the required density. Part C is then added and mixing is continued for approximately 3 more minutes. At this stage, the product is ready for application onto the textile backing.
Vulcanization requires heat treatment at 110–120 °C for 6 minutes in a drying oven.
