LAIEX’s experience in the footwear industry dates back to the commencement of our activity. Our products are used for the application of textiles and other diverse materials in the manufacturing of footwear.
In the footwear industry, a wide range of very diverse natures is used: woven and non-woven, leather, hides, rubber, polyurethane and EVA among others. Other very different products are also used such as styrene butadiene, thermoforming latex, acrylic emulsions, styrene acrylics, polyvinyl acetates and ready-to-use compounds for pre-strengthening the materials, the gluing and the final touch.

SBR latex  for footwear industry

SBR Latex for compound formulations. Compounds prepared for the elaboration of foams for insoles. Heat- or dissolvent-activated SBR latex, compounds and thermoforming latex for the permeation of leather for reinforcing materials (toes, heel-pads, insoles). Acrylic emulsions, styrene acrylics and polyvinyl acetates for the resin coating and starching of textile.

Self-adhesive products with good properties of adhesion, tack, cohesion and aging resistance for the gluing of woven and non-woven products and foams used in the manufacturing of footwear. SBR Latex used as leather fiber and cellulose binder for the preparation of regenerated leather sheets. Acrylic emulsions and styrene acrylics for the formulation of paint for soles and leather goods.

Footwear foam

We present to you a new advanced technology based on a single component for the manufacturing of vulcanizing-free SBR latex foam.

A water-based dispersion of a styrene-butadiene copolymer, additive enhanced with foaming and rheological agents.

Properties

A carboxylated SBR product which is not HSR, nor is it made of natural latex.

A non-gel system

Complies with environmental standards.

Low content of VOCs

Low odor system since it significantly reduces the levels of ammonia and does not contain sulphides

The system can be modified via the level of loading, density of foam, thickening agents, colours.

High resistance determined by the softness of the polymer and the amount of crosslinker.

Very good properties in resisting tension and stretching.

Resistant to yellowing.

Machinery free of sulphides, as well as 0% of contaminating products in the manufacturing process.
