LAITEX N-5336 is a carboxylated butadiene-styrene copolymer dispersion used as a binder in the textile industry.

It is intended in particular for the coating impregnation of needlepunched fabrics.

Total solids: 50% ± 1 – Method I-10-31

Applications:

LAITEX N-5336 is recommended for:

  • Formulation of pre-backing compounds for tufted and needlepunched carpets.
  • Impregnation of needlepunched and nonwoven fabrics in general.

This emulsion is adapted to the different techniques of punching bonding: full bath impregnation, semi-impregnation and spray bonding.

For one-side impregnation, the dispersion is used undiluted or diluted only with very little water, while for full impregnation it must be diluted to a solids content of 20-25%.

LAITEX N-5336 bestows needlepunched fabrics with:

  • Good stiffness of lightweight items.
  • Weak writing effect on polypropylene fibre.
  • Excellent wear behaviour in LISSON and BTW controls on all types of fibres.
